For my Transformations 3D design project, I chose to design a bookcase, inspired by the Futon designs of sustainable furniture, with a simple Japanese-style prioritising functionality.
I initially experimented with the layout using card and cardboard models before completing the final design in Sketchup and fabricating it in wood. The product transforms by allowing use in multiple orientations.
The final model of this project is still under development.
