I refined my skills in practical design during six months attending the weekly National Saturday Club at the University of the Arts London Camberwell campus.
The course explored themes and ideas through visits, installations, textiles, painting, print and photography and my work was featured in their online 2022 Summer Show.

Ceramics: 'London Is ...'
One of the workshops focused on creating ceramics representing a perspective on London. I created this work which included many of my favourite London architectural landmarks including Battersea Power Station, The Gherkin (30 St Mary Axe), the London Eye and Big Ben.

Photography: 'Collecting The Everyday'
This project was centred around collaborative photography, inspired by archives and collecting. The title of the project is a direct quote from one of the Club members. Together we came up with our own system of categorisation and made photographic responses exploring the college building and grounds. The final outcome was a grid of 169 polaroid photographs. The photographs I took are shown below.

Bonhams Masterclass
We experienced a Masterclass with Bonhams, one of the world's largest auctioneers of fine art, antiques, motor cars and jewellery. Cassi Young, Senior Specialist and Head of Sale for Contemporary Art Evening Sale, and her team gave Club members an insight into artwork conservation, valuation, and auctioneering terminology. The Masterclass culminated in an exciting mock-auction with myself as the auctioneer!
